It is a type of overdenture that is supported and attached to implants. It is used when a patient doesn’t have any teeth in the jaw. It has special attachments that snap onto attachments on the implants.
It should be removed daily to clean the denture and the gums just as with the regular denture. It is usually indicated for lower jaw when the conventional denture is less stable and need some extra support which is offered by the implants.
