It is a type of removable partial denture consisting of a cast metal framework containing artificial teeth set in an acrylic resin. It is stronger, more durable, retentive and hygienic than conventional partial denture. Its fabrication is time consuming, complex and costly as compared to the conventional denture.
It is specifically designed and fabricated to the individual patient.
